Progress with the building is slow but steady. There is a lot to learn as we go along and an abundance of regulations and rules to comply with. Public buildings have a set of complications and rules designed to make them safe and accessible to all. We obviously want to comply fully with the regulators and this entails learning and accommodating in our plans all the relevant modifications for disabled access. We would hate to exclude anyone or put them in danger when we have the opportunity to design from scratch, so please bear with us as we spend time on the planning stages. The building insurance has now been sorted and we are clear to start work once the site is registered with the HSE and we have planning approval from the council. We have appointed a Construction and Design Manager and a Health and safety coordinator. Principle contractors have also been lined up and a wealth of qualified volunteers have made themselves available. Keep Praying please.

This week saw paster Paul set out his vision for the Church. In a lively meeting we heard several people share what they thought God was saying. There seemed to be a real sense of Gods presense and many came forward and were prayed for.
After this Paul shared the vision for the church that God has given him. It was a sort of overview of what God is asking Caernarfon Church to be, in a year that will see us in a new building and presented with fresh opportunities to reach out and interact with the community. It is hardly surprising that God wants to lay a solid foundation of principles for us to base our fellowship on. Paul is using a passage from the book of Acts to base this vision of the church, if it was good enough for the apostals then it is good enough for us!
All these years since Jesus planted the church and the vision is still the same, the task is still the same and thankfully God is just the same.

This Sunday saw the Church Going to the new Building after the service to Pray and Dedicate the building to God. A true milestone on this Journey. The building is still full of equipment and materials but the top deck is largely empty and we had an impromptu worship and dance. God is so good and he really is building His church.
This was a momentous occasion and reminded me of the meeting when the idea of buying a building was first broached to the fellowship and voted on at the mill cafe. Just an idea at that moment now a step nearer. Still a long way to go but great to see people in the building worshiping, praying and singing.
Several words were brought, and Kuan sounded a Shofar (a horn that is used as a musical instrument) traditionally sounded to call the Jewish nation to war, to worship, to repentance or to celebration. A fantastic sound that reverberates in the heavenly's and down through history. The first mention of it in the Bible is in Exodus to herald the Lord's decent and the giving of the Law at mount Sinai. Exodus 19:16-19 and 20:18.
Prayer
Father we welcome you to this building, use it we pray. Use it to impact Caernarfon with your Love, use it to reach people with your compassion, use it to educate help and enlighten, use it to give hope, use it to encourage, use it as an answer to questions, use it as a provision for needs and a cure for the illness and diseases of the people. Lord we know that a Building is not your Church so as we set out to convert this empty shell into a vibrant useful tool for spreading the Good news, we pray that as this building is converted so too you would convert us lord, make us useful tools to meet the needs of Caernarfon. Use us to heal, educate, to bring light, hope and encouragement use us we pray to introduce the people of Caernarfon to you. Lord you are the real answer to our needs and the needs of a dark world. Help us we pray to be signposts to you, beacons in the dark pointing to you.
we ask this in Jesus name.
amen.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007
We now have the keys to the new building and are planning a prayer dedication, and a whole lot of work and admin. insurance, health and saftey, building regulations, designs and specifications, there is a long way to go but with Gods grace we should have a building that the community of Caernarfon can feel at home in and meet Jesus.
On the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of December the Christmas Fair raised £1000, many thanks to all for your genourous support and donations. The event was a resounding success and a good time was had by all.
